According to L’Equipe’s report on Monday, Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris St Germain that he will depart the Ligue 1 champions when his contract expires next year.
The French international has decided not to activate the one-year extension option, and PSG may even sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free, as per local reports.
Mbappe faced a similar situation last year when he was linked with a move to Real Madrid, but he eventually signed a contract extension with PSG.
This season, the 24-year-old scored 41 goals in 43 games in all competitions for PSG and could start negotiating and signing a pre-contract agreement with a new club from January if he stays in Paris.
