WEST INDIES: West Indies started their qualifier campaign with a win against the USA, earning two important points and currently standing at second place on the points table. However, their openers Brandon King and Kyle Mayers couldn’t perform well in the opening fixture and will look to improve their performance. The middle-order batsmen, including Johnson Charles, Shai Hope, Roston Chase, and Jason Holder, all scored half-centuries and are expected to continue their good form. The team has a strong pace attack which can pose tough questions to the Nepal batsmen. Keemo Paul and Jason Holder are likely to open the bowling, while Kyle Mayers and Alzarri Joseph will contribute during the middle overs. Akeal Hossain and Roston Chase will feature in the spin attack.
NEPAL: Nepal lost their first match against Zimbabwe but made a strong comeback in their last match against the USA, currently standing at third place on the points table. A win in the upcoming match will greatly improve their chances of making it to the Super Sixes. Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh will aim to give the team a strong start, with Bhurtel being particularly impressive in both games. The team has several all-rounders in the middle order, including Bhim Sharki, skipper Rohit Paudel, Kushal Malla, and Dipendra Singh Airee. The seamers did an excellent job in the last match, with Lalit Rajbanshi and Gulsan Jha picking up wickets. Karan KC was the most impressive bowler, taking 4 wickets. However, the spinners, including Sandeep Lamichhane and Kushal Malla, have not been able to perform well.
